It has been claimed that Bayern Munich will sell Chelsea target Robert Lewandowski for £40 million if they cannot agree a new contract with the striker There is no doubt in world football that Lewandowski is the best striker in the game right now and a man that has just broken all sorts of records since he joined Bayern Munich way back in 2014.
Having smashed 48 goals in 40 appearances last term, he already looks set to surpass that mark with 43 in 36 in 2021-22 and he is on course to help the German giants to record their 10th consecutive Bundesliga crown But his current deal expires in 2023 and the Bundesliga giants have not yet been able to agree a new contract with the striker, which has meant that the likes of Chelsea have been linked with a move’.
It is no secret that Chelsea have all the attacking quality that most managers would love, but they do not have the striker that can bang in the goals on a weekly basis, which has cost them dearly at times. And it has been suggested that a move for Lewandowski could be made in the transfer window if he does actually come onto that transfer market.
Bayern do not want to let Lewandowski leave the club at the end of the season, but should he refuse to sign a new contract, the German champions will want £40m for their leading goalscorer, according to Bild . Man City, Man United and Barcelona are also linked with a move so there could be alot of interest in the superstar should he come onto the market.
Chelsea are unable to make moves just yet, but now all offers have been submitted, the new owner may be very much interested in trying to secure a deal for one of the biggest players in our game right now Chelsea will keep a close eye as £40 million is not alot of money for one of the best layers in world football
